How does Smoobu count statistics if a reservation starts in one month and ends in another?

How do you count nights?

Let's say there is a reservation from 25 August - 02 September. Smoobu will then count the days and show the data like so: 7 days in August and 1 in September.

We don't count departure days because you can have another reservation on this day which would count as a booked night.

How do you calculate revenue?

For example the reservation above, let's say the total price is $850. 8 nights = $100 per night with a once-off $50 cleaning fee.

$850 EUR 8 nights = $106.25 per night

7 x 106.25 = 743.75 in August
1 x 106.25 = 106.25 in September

How is revenue counted in Bookings compared to Statistics?

The revenue is counted with slightly different methods for date ranges on the Statistics tab, compared to the Bookings tab.

For bookings that occur over the course two months (example: 15 May 23 - 15 June 23), then the Statistics page divides revenue/nights it between the months (as per the above explanation)

However the Bookings tab list does not do this.

For example, a guest pays $500.00 for the reservation, however Bookings will show the entire amount the guest paid (not divided between months).

Something to keep in mind if comparing the two!
