You've just registered to Smoobu and are wondering how we work with availability. Here we explain it to you.
Starting out with Smoobu's unified calendar
Obviously, when a booking arrives from one portal, Smoobu blocks all other connected portals. If the reservation is cancelled for any reason, Smoobu will open the availability on all the portals to ensure other guests can book your holiday accommodation.
Smoobu does not unblock dates on your portals that were not available before you connected to Smoobu. Therefore, you may initially have dates available on Smoobu, however, you may not have availability on the booking portals. The reasoning behind this is that because the dates were not available before you connected with Smoobu, we assume there is a reason behind this.
For example, imagine you just connected Booking.com as your first portal, we simply won't automatically open your calendar because you may also have other bookings coming from other portals, such as Airbnb.
So, what next?
Make sure your Smoobu calendar is complete. A complete calendar includes: all booking portal bookings, direct bookings and blocked periods showing in Smoobu (in the Cockpit Calendar or in the Bookings list).
If your Smoobu calendar is already complete:
Option 1) NEW: For Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia and your website, you may use the Availability settings for this step. Head to Smoobu Calendar / Settings / Availability settings. More info on this here
Option 2) Please open a ticket by clicking on the following link.
Alternatively, send us an email at supporten@smoobu.zendesk.com for us to replicate your Smoobu calendar on your connected booking portals for 2 years.
We call this action an 'initial availability push', and this initial push will align all your calendars, in case you had made previous manual blocks in the calendars of the booking portals. Don't worry, we will respect all reservations and blocks as you have already entered them into your Smoobu calendar.
