How to send messages, view guest messages and reply (like you would in a Chat)
Once connected Airbnb and Booking you can manage all messages from Smoobu.
You can see the exchange of messages with customers like a chat, here's how to view it.
Entering a booking's Details you will see all the messages exchanged with the guest on the right side of the page. You will see them all as if it were a chat, you will also be able to answer them directly without changing the page.
Step by Step
1) Go to Bookings or to your Cockpit Calendar and search for a reservation
2) Click on the booking's guest name - Details.
a) To view messages, head to Message History.
b) To send a new message, head to Message History and select a template or type a new message from scratch.
How to go from a message to the guest's Message History
If you enter Smoobu Messages tab you will only see the separate individual messages, but you can switch to viewing the entire conversation with the guest directly from this screen by clicking on the booking link at the top right corner.
At the moment the booking portals which have a full messaging API are only Airbnb and Booking.com. For the other channels it is not yet possible to manage all messages from the Channel Manager, but for some of them, like Expedia, Agoda, Vacation-apartments you can send automated messages and if your guests reply, we will receive their replies in Smoobu.

When replying to a message in the portal, the subject line should include "marketing name" (same as on the website) of the property instead of the main name which appears internally.
Hi Agne,
When you say 'replying to a message in the portal', do you mean in your Smoobu session? Our intention is to display the internal name within your Smoobu session and the marketing name on your Smoobu website and Guest App.
Let me know if this helps!
Hi Marriane,
I mean when I want to send a message to a guest directly from Smoobu, the default subject of the empty template contains the internal name. I think it should contain the marketing name, because that subject is seen by the guest.
I see what you mean. We're not quite there yet but it will surely be adjusted in the future. Thanks for the feedback!
