NEW: E-Invoicing feature (Germany Only)

You can now generate e-invoices (X-Rechnung) through Smoobu. This feature is exclusively available to hosts in Germany.

What is an e-invoice?

An electronic invoice, commonly referred to as an e-invoice or X-Rechnung in Germany, contains the same information as a traditional invoice. However, it is issued, transmitted, and stored in a structured data format, such as XML or JSON, allowing it to be automatically processed by software, unlike unstructured formats.

How to activate E-invoicing 

Please follow the following steps:

• Please click Settings / Invoice settings

• Active the E-invoice addon via the toggle

• Accept the terms and conditions and press Activate

How does it work?

Once activated, your invoices will be generated in two formats: PDF and XML. When you download the invoice in PDF format, the XML file will be embedded within it. 

The XML file contains structured data that can be utilized by tax authorities, tax consultants, and other relevant parties.

Step by step - Create an invoice

1. Go to the Booking details in Smoobu

2. In the Invoices box, click the +

3. Create the invoice

Viewing the Invoice and XML File

1. Once you have created the invoice, download it. We recommend to open the generated invoice.pdf in Adobe Acrobat Reader.

2. At the right, click the paper clip icon

3. You will find the corresponding "invoice.xml" file in the “Attachments” Section. 

4. It can then opened and then content transmitted 

How much does the E-invoicing feature cost?

The cost is €5.90 per account per month, with no discounts available for Yearly or 2-year subscriptions.

Upon activating the feature, you’ll receive a 7-day free trial, after which the monthly fee will be automatically charged to your payment method on file.
