Connect other external calendars (Outlook, iCloud, Google, etc...)

External calendars can be integrated via iCal links. We need to differentiate between calendar programs such as Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar or iCloud/Apple Calendar and booking portals – those that are not on our list of connected portals. 

How do you tell the difference?

Do you only wish to provide check-in and check-out information to another calendar? (like Google, Outlook or iCloud/Apple Calendar) If so, you are on the right page!

Does the calendar you are trying to connect accept bookings/reservations? If you answered yes, then this guide is not for you, but not to worry! This will help you: Integrate other portals via individual iCal links 

Outgoing from Smoobu to an external calendar

You may use (for example) your iPhone calendar to have an overview of all your check-in and check-out activities. 

Keep in mind that the speed of the updates or the transmission of new events does not depend on Smoobu, but on the calendar programs.

Normally these are updated at certain time intervals, sometimes daily, however it will depend on each program.

You can find the iCal calendar link in your Smoobu account in Settings / Accommodations: 

There is x1 link per accommodation: Click the Edit pencil button   

Scroll down to Check-in & check-out calendar

Copy it and paste it into your calendar's program.

Do this for each Accommodation.

Below we list the most important calendar programs and the procedure for each of them.

• Google Calendar
  1) First copy the iCal link provided by Smoobu
  2) In your Google Calendar, click on the cogwheel and then on "Settings"
  3) Then click on "Add calendar" and on "From URL"
  4) Paste the provided Smoobu URL and Add calendar
  
  
• Outlook Calendar
• iCloud Calendar
