This covers portals including Homeaway, Bookabach, Stayz, Abritel and Fewo-Direct.
Have Vrbo and Smoobu (Settings/Booking Portals/VRBO) open in 2 separate tabs side-by-side.
1. In Smoobu: Copy the link on the left called "Smoobu iCal"
2. In Vrbo: Select the listing, click on Calendar
3. In Vrbo: click on Import/Export calendar icon: Import
Paste the iCal link and select "Block dates" or "Show this calendar to ..."
4. In Vrbo: click on Import/Export calendar icon again: Export
5. In Vrbo: Copy the iCal link from Vrbo, making sure the option "Export tentative bookings" is not chosen.
6. In Smoobu: Go back to Settings/Booking Portals/Vrbo and paste the link into the middle under heading "Vrbo / HomeAway Paste the portal link below"
The Calendars will now be linked! Please note that these run on sync cycles (therefore not "real time" sync)
To note: the iCal connection to Vrbo does not include the sync Vrbo messages, pricing, guest details (phone number, email) and financial details.
- Therefore Price per night and Min Nights should be added to Vrbo directly.
- Additional guest details (such as email addresses) other booking details such a quantity of guests, and financial details, should be added to Smoobu to Smoobu manually. Here is a guide: Adding guest email, phone, and other details to your bookings
- After adding the guest's email to Smoobu, your automated messages will be sent to their personal email. Here is a guide: Send automated messages based on booking, arrival or departure 🎥

Hey,
I'm having trouble connecting prices to Vrbo. Can I manually block my calendar in Vrbo to prevent bookings at the currently incorrect rates, or will that overwrite my Smoobu calendar via the ical link (which was successful)?

This isnt working for me...I have done the connections as described, but for some reason VRBO doesnt even show on the calendars page, and it is not updating the pricing.

Hi, I am in the process of setting vrbo up and wonder if the price sync is working at the moment. I noticed different instructions on how to sync prices on another page stating that it needs to be done per month. Can you tell me what to do to sync prices? Thanks
